What will be the reasons for my continued detention?

Continued detention may be ordered if the CBSA can establish that you shall not be released because:

  1. you are a danger to the public;
  2. you are likely not to reappear for next hearing or for your removal from Canada, if released;
  3. your identity has not been established yet; or
  4. you are inadmissible to Canada for:
    • security reasons;
    • violation of human or international rights; or
    • involvement in serious criminality, criminality or organized criminality.
